Emotional release

tear Let me tell you something about crying…it still is a taboo for many or seen as weakness.

Tears are healing, preventing you to become ill, to let go unresolved issues, hurtful memories that are attached to your emotional/ mental/ physical body.

When you cry quickly, when upset or overwhelmed, it’s your body’s natural response that is trying to regulate itself.

Most people have this idea or view that crying is about being sad. This can be a reason but there is more to it.

Crying is connected to your nervous system, and your body has its ways to naturally regulate itself. Our body is an ingenious system, but we often don’t listen to it or misread what it is trying to tell us.

Your body needs release, that why tears are in your eyes.

It really is needed…. it is a natural mechanism when feeling angry, frustrated, etc….

You feel the urge to cry when:

– You are caught in conflict

– Someone shouts at you

– When someone blames you

– You are overwhelmed

– Oversensitive, overstimulated, too many things coming at you at once

– You must let go of something / someone and you feel it’s missing effect on you

Research has shown that oxytocin (cuddle and relieve hormones) endorphins are in your tears. Crying is a result of the para-sympathetic system to regulate and bring equilibrium to your body. It’s a way to balance the body, to help bring you OUT of flight or fight.

You can feel relieve and relaxed after a good cry, your parasympathetic nervous system is activated, and it has a calming effect. Your cortisol level has dropped.

You can’t stop de tears when your system is in a state of dysregulation, constant stress, anxiety and constant worry. Let tears run. It’s needed, don’t tell yourself to not cry. It will result in physical health issues, pains, chronic illness, frustrations that will build up in your body and into imbalanced, unhinged angry behaviour. When you do need space, take the time you need and space to be by yourself or a safe place.

So many people apologize for crying or feel SHAME. It’s your body helping you to release, just let it out. Just BE.

I’m here to support people on their emotional healing journey, you don’t need to be alone if you don’t want to. I am here to hold space, clarify and witness.
